Two Conversations

The following are two entertaining (but completely unrelated) conversations. The first is an actual exchange that took place between me and Laura online. It sometimes serves as my away message on instant messenger, but I also thought that perhaps I should share it here for the benefit of the general public. The second conversation is an overview of a typical evening at home when I've got the day off and I'm spending the evening with my folks. Consider the second bit to be real, as well, because it actually passed the lips of me and my precious parents earlier tonight.

Conversation #1:
Me: Bubble tea was closed when I went to Bing last weekend.
Laura: Oh no!! That's terrible!!
Me: No-- not permanently, only for a couple of days...
Laura: Oh, gotcha. Yeah, but still. You drive all the way up there and sure, seeing Matt's a bonus, but no bubble tea??!!
Me: I know, bubble tea is my main reason for going there in the first place.

Conversation #2:
Me: (ppffffffttt) Oops... excuse me!
Mom: Uh... did you just say something to me?
Me: Yes, I was expressing my love for you.
Mom: Wow. That's a very interesting way to express yourself. I feel honored.
Dad: Hmmm. If that was you talking about love, I feel the need to tell you-- you've got pretty bad breath there, Em.
