My Wacky Folks-- What a Pair!

I'll probably be sorry that I posted these photographs... my parents hate them. They think they look rediculous... I do too, but I also can't stop laughing when I see them. I don't think they'd mind suffering a little embarrassment in order to make their daughter guffaw with pleasure. Do you?

Anyhow, so I showed this blog to my folks and do you know how they responded? With a song. How nice. Do you remember how that Styx tune goes? "Too much time on my hands... I've got too much time on my hands...." Heh.

They thought it was funny, though. So I guess if I have their blessing, then why stop updating it, right? Hopefully soon I'll actually have something interesting to post... :)

Hellllloooooooooo Nurse!

Well, I'm starting work tomorrow for the first time ever as a productive member of society. I can honestly say that I'm excited about my job where I will be a nurse on a transplant postoperative unit in a major medical center... I'm just not that excited about starting. I've enjoyed having the summer off, and at this point, would prefer to keep it that way. But alas, not only must I begin paying some bills and start on my student loans, but my health insurance also runs out in 15 days.

Sigh.

Oh well, I'm sure it's going to be exciting and wonderful... I just need to get into the groove of it. Clearly more will follow on this Noodle's blog regarding my new and riveting career move as soon as something comes up. Hopefully it'll be tons of stories of how much I love waking up at 5:30am every morning, and lots of reports of the kinds and quantities of feces I've cleaned up. Heh. Yeah, it'll be a blast!

Pinque Rocks!

Discussing the virtues of pink with my stallionesque friend, Craig, I had a slight misunderstanding. I do believe he might have been talking about Pink, the singer, not pink, the color. So while misunderstanding him further and continuing with this conversation about pink, I suggested that I prefered the spelling as "pinque." That way, to me, it seemed slightly more exotic (similar to women from France). Craig just laughed, but I went on to continue digging myself into a hole by describing how I might use the word "pinque" in a sentence. I can't believe I actually suggested the following: "perhaps you're talking about a state of meat, as in under-done, about which I might thoughtfully consider 'I really like it when my meat is pinque," or "wait-- should these chicken tenders be pinque in the middle?"

Sigh.

What a misunderstood life I lead...

Boston Vacation

Last weekend I went on a mini-vacation to Boston with Matt. The main point of the trip was to visit the school he's transferring to (The Berklee College of Music), but we had enough extra time left in the weekend that we were also able to squeak in some fun. So, besides taking a tour of Berklee, we also walked around downtown Boston, took a nap in the Botanical Gardens, went on a Duck Tour, saw Harvard Square, met up with some of my friends who live in the area and ate a completely vegan dinner (yay!), and pretty much just explored the city. It was so much fun and I can't wait to go back! This photograph is a self-snapped one of us while we were sitting in the land/water WWII vehicle waiting for the Duck Tour to begin.

That Chick is HOT!

What a hottie! Oh man, I think I know her... wasn't she in that movie with Tom Cruise? No, wait... do I know her from MTV? Who is that gorgeous lady?

Oh yeah, that's me!

Lucky for you, I had a picture of myself to upload. Now you can admire my lovely face as often as you like-- how convenient!

This one was taken at an honor society induction ceremony sometime in the spring of 2005. Wow, so that means that not only am I highly attractive, but I'm also smart! Woah! I wish I could marry me... don't you?

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! Clearly you've found your way here because you're the luckiest person ever to have roamed the planet.... How wonderful! Anyhow, for all you've ever wanted to know about anything*, check back here often for updated postings (or forever risk realizing that you'd forgotten to check while attempting to meditate atop a secluded summit).

*And by "anything," I mean whatever I feel like writing about.
